Ballymacarbry’s remarkable dominance of the Waterford ladies football scene continued yesterday when they defeated Comeragh Rangers 4-5 to 0-7 to be crowned senior champions for a 40th successive year.
With former Waterford and Westmeath hurling manager Michael Ryan back at the helm since last year and his daughter Michelle – who’s currently featuring on TG4’s ‘Underdogs’ programme – helping herself to 2-2, Ballymac came from a point down at half-time to keep their incredible winning run going.
Karen McGrath and Bríd McMaugh scored the other goals for the winners, who are unbeaten in county finals since 1982.
