Éire Óg Carrickmore were crowned Tyrone senior hurling champions for a third successive year after a one-sided Benburb Cup decider.

The holders hammered first-time finalists Naomh Colum Cille by 27 points (1-28 to 0-4) and now have their sights set on becoming the first Tyrone team to lift the Ulster club IHC title. The gulf in class was evident from an early stage at O'Neill's Healy Park this afternoon as Éire Óg raced into a 1-10 to 0-0 lead after 20 minutes.

Naomh Colum Cille eventually got themselves on the scoreboard to leave it reading 1-15 to 0-1 at half-time. Fermanagh representatives Lisbellaw are up next for Éire Óg in the provincial quarter-final on Saturday, 5 November.
