Rory Brennan has quit the Tyrone senior football panel ahead of the 2023 season, according to multiple reports.

The Trillick captain informed Tyrone joint-managers Feargal Logan and Brian Dooher of his decision after having spent nine years in the Red Hands’ set-up.

The 28-year-old was part of the Tyrone squad which captured the All-Ireland SFC title last year with victory over Mayo and also won three Ulster senior crowns in his county’s colours.

Having made his debut against Armagh in the McKenna Cup back in 2015, McKenna has since gone on to make 81 appearances for the Red Hands scoring a total of 2-17.

His departure will be a blow to joint bosses Logan and Dooher who already saw his brother Lee Brennan departing the squad back in March of this year.
