Louth GAA raise over €1.2million from Double House Draw

Over 24,000 tickets were sold for last night's Louth GAA Double House Draw, raising over €1.2million which will go towards the development of their new €12million stadium.

St Mochta's clubman Colin Hoey won the first prize, the pick of two houses, one in Beaulieu Village, Drogheda and the other in Sea View Way, Blackrock, Dundalk.or alternatively he can claim €200,000 cash.

Michael Mooney from Haggardstown will win the house not chosen by Hoey or he can also choose to take the cash instead, while third prize worth €10,000 was won by Ardee's Jason Finlay.

Construction work on the development of the 14,000 seater stadium that will be located within a 14-acre site on the Inner Relief Road in Dundalk is expected to commence in September.
