Emmet McDonnell has guided Tyrrellspass to their third Westmeath SFC final in five years, as they aim to avenge defeats by St Loman's in their last three Flanagan Cup deciders - the sides will meet once again at TEG Cusack Park tomorrow.

Tyrrellspass endured a poor season in 2019 that saw them fail to make the knockout stages, but former Offaly senior football boss McDonnell turned their fortunes around and, after a 5-9 to 0-10 defeat to St Loman's, they beat his native Coralstown-Kinnegad and his former Athlone charges to reach the final.

McDonnell's younger brother and St Mary's Edenderry teaching colleague Gordon will also be hoping to upset the odds and make it a family double as his Ballinabrackey side go after a first-ever Meath IFC title in next Saturday's final against Trim at Pairc Tailteann.
