Under 12s

Our U12s played Kinnitty in Kinnitty on Thursday evening. This a great performance by all our under 12s and they stuck with a much stronger Kinnity side the whole way, but it was Kinnitty who came out on top at the end.

Team:

Chloe Bevans, Laura Brereton, Keeva Davey (Co-Capt) Emma Flannery, Amy Guidera, Emma Landy, Aideen Liffey, Cara Mc loughlin, Kim Monaghan, Leanne Moloney, Blaithin O’Donnell.

Laura O Hara, Sophie Ormond, Siobhan Ryan (Co-Capt), Fiona Ryan, Anna Tierney, Ava Walah, Brooke Wrenn.

Scorers were Keeva Davey, Siobhan Ran, Chloe Bevans and Laura O’Hara

Junior Team

Our Juniors travelled to Lusmagh on Thursday evening to Play St Rynaghs in the 2020 Junior B Final.

This was the 2nd time that these 2 clubs had met in just over a week and from the start you knew that it was going to be a thrilling match. Unlike the previous meeting the weather was perfect.

Rynagh’s took a steady lead from the start and going in a half time they had a 10 point lead.

Shinrone made some changes at half time but again Rynaghs were still getting scores on the score board and were now leading by 14 points going into the 2nd water break and for someone at the match or watching at home you of easily have said that it was definitely over for Shinrone.

Some quick goals brought the girls back into the game and going into injury time there was only 4 points separating the teams. Another goal and it was now only a 1 point game. But it was St Rynaghs who came out as winners as the final whistle was blown, winning by 2 points.

The girls never gave up even when St Rynaghs had a strong lead, and they will be looking forward to starting the 2021 Championship shortly.

We want to thank Pauline Loughnane for the lovely food that was supplied after the Senior league final and Junior B Final
