On an emotional day for Monaghan GAA, the county booked its place in this year's Ulster SFC final following an epic battle with neighbours Armagh.

Seamus McEnaney's charges honoured the memory of U20 captain Brendan Óg Duffy, who died in a tragic road accident last night, with a thrilling 4-17 to 2-21 win in Newry. Four first half goals put them in the driving seat, but Armagh hit back with majors from substitute Conor Turbitt and Tiernan Kelly to lead by two points with six minutes remaining.

However, three late Conor McManus frees got the Farneymen over the line and into another provincial decider against either Donegal or Tyrone.
