Congratulations: Congratulations to 3 local legends who recently celebrated significant birthdays Martin Markey who celebrated his 50th Birthday recently. A lot of people thought he was closer to 60 than 50 but anyway best wishes Martin on reaching this milestone. To Mary Duffy our Social Centre Bar Manager who celebrated reaching 60 on Tuesday last best wishes and finally Kevin Keenan who reached 40 and has now been called up to the Over 40's Clonbollogue Team in Offaly as a result of reaching this milestone. Best wishes is also extended to Kevin. Well Done to the 3 people concerned.
Covid Restrictions: As you are all aware the Government has introduced Level 5 of covid Restrictions for 6 weeks until 1st December. All Indoor Club & Football Activities are suspended at present and we are asking all club supporters to take care of each other and adhere to HSE Guidelines on reducing your contacts, washing your hands, keeping your distance. In this time of uncertainity we hope you continue to support local businesses as in the past these businesses have been good to our club in fundraising, helping etc.
County Team Affairs: The County Senior team were defeated by Kerry in the National Football League on Saturday last. They play their final game in the league against Meath this Sunday in Clones at 2pm again behind closed doors due to Covid Restrictions. Best wishes to Michael Bannigan and the team as they try to consolidate division 1 football for 2021. Also Best wishes to the County Minor team in their Quarter Final of the Ulster Championship away to Antrim on Saturday.
Sympathy: Sympathy is extended to the Duffy Family Tullycara Castleblayney on the death of Gerry Duffy. Gerry was a great friend to our Vintage Day and our Parish Tractor Run. May God have mercy on his soul.
