Mayo sold more GAA replica jerseys than any other county in 2021.

The Connacht football champions were joined in the top three in O’Neills jersey sales by their All-Ireland final conquerors Tyrone and Cork, who lost the All-Ireland hurling final to Limerick.

Sales of O’Neills shorts have also increased by 30 per cent after they were worn by Paul Mescal in the hit TV programme ‘Normal People’. The sportswear manufacturer has reported that sales are now back to pre-Covid levels.

“We have had a good year in 2021. There was pent-up demand after shops were closed for the first third of the year,” co-owner Paul Towell said.
