Sympathy: In a sad week for the Creegan family, Dromard GAA and the local community, the death occurred on Tuesday of P.J. Creegan, Crott. P.J. played for Dromard in his youth and was a generous sponsor along with having an enormous interest in the club. He was a loyal supporter of both club and county and was ever present at Dromard and Longford matches along with his brother Johnny. He was an astute reader of the game and always provided encouragement and a positive outlook to players. P.J. was a highly respected farmer and an agricultural contractor and was well known throughout North Longford. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by the GAA and wider community. Members of the Club formed a guard of honour for P.J. as his remains passed his beloved Páirc na nGael on Friday on the way to Moyne Church for his funeral Mass. Dromard GAA offers its sympathy to the extended Creegan family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
