600,000 viewers tune in to watch Meath's historic All-Ireland ladies SFC final win

Just under 600,000 viewers tuned in to watch Meath's historic All-Ireland ladies SFC final success over holders Dublin yesterday.

The Royals completed their meteoric rise to the top ranks after Emma Duggan's spectacular first-half goal proved the difference at Croke Park.

The TV audience peaked at 347,400 towards the end of the game as Eamonn Murray's side held on for a sensational 1-11 to 0-12 victory.

According to official TAM Ireland figures, the Irish language station earned a share of 30% of the total TV audience during the senior final.

Wicklow and Westmeath also claimed silverware on a thrilling All-Ireland ladies finals day at GAA headquarters.
