A magnificent haul of 2-12 from Footballer of the Year David Clifford helped Fossa claim the Kerry premier junior football championship title with a 4-15 to 0-22 victory over neighbours Listry after extra-time at Fitzgerald Stadium this afternoon.

The Kingdom superstar scored both of his goals in extra-time, including a brilliantly taken penalty and the other from a trademark solo display after slotting over the equalising point to draw the sides level at full-time (2-12 to 0-18).

Remarkably, in 2022, Clifford has also won National League Division 1 honours and Munster and All-Ireland SFC titles with Kerry as well as the Kerry SFC title with East Kerry.

The 23-year-old sensation was crowned Footballer of the Year after playing a starring role in Kerry's first All-Ireland SFC triumph since 2014 and has proved himself as the player for the big occasion with a string of man-of-the-match performances at county and club level.

And now he will be hoping to add more to his cabinet when Fossa embark on the Munster club junior football championship with a semi-final clash against Castlemahon in two weeks' time.
