Kerry defender Eric Leen says manager Stephen Molumphy has built resilience within the team in his first year in charge.

The Kingdom face Antrim in the Joe McDonagh Cup final at Croke Park tomorrow evening (throw-in 5pm) and, speaking to RTE Sport ahead the decider, Leen says the Kingdom will be looking for another solid display when they meet the Saffrons.

"We always bring serious intensity to our hurling, we give games to anyone and I guess if there is a difference in the higher levels and reaching there it is in the bits of hurling, the crispness, ball to hand, the finishing that the likes of Limerick have,” said the corner-back.

"Molumphy has built resilience with us and our confidence is growing as we get results. That said, we are not looking at results, we are looking at performances. That’s our gauge. With a good performance you can come out with your head held high."

He added: "He (Molumphy) told us at the start of the year he saw potential in us and his management team has done everything 100% to help us. It is a pleasure to be part of it, they are top notch, and we are going out on Saturday hoping to get a performance for them and us."
