There will be a familiar Galway SFC final pairing on November 14 as Corofin and Mountbellew-Moylough square up to one another on the grand stage for the fifth time in seven seasons.

Kevin O'Brien's Corofin lead that count 3-1-0 (one replay) but will be out for revenge themselves after Mountbellew-Moylough brought their unbeaten run of 49 games and dreams of an eight-in-a-row of county titles to an end at the semi-final stage last year. Mountbellew, who haven't won one since 1986, were subsequently beaten by Moycullen in the decider but turned the tables for the defeat in style at Pearse Stadium today when beating the holders 3-12 to 0-16.

In the second-part of a double-header, five-time All-Star hurler Daithi Burke stood out as Dylan Canney's first-half goal laid the platform for Corofin's 1-19 to 0-10 victory against Killannin. Canney finished with 1-3 to his name.
