Sunday week's Connacht senior football championship final has been moved to Croke Park.

Mayo and Galway will meet in the first Connacht decider to be played outside the western province, with GAA headquarters set to facilitate up to 18,000 spectators.

The July 25 showpiece between the near neighbours was initially due to take place at Elvery's MacHale Park in Castlebar, but staging the final there would have meant only 3,600 would be able to attend the match.
