All-Ireland winning manager Jim McGuinness has linked up with Galway’s senior footballers in an "informal arrangement", according to RTE Sport.

A video posted on Twitter from Tuam Stadium yesterday afternoon showed the Tribesmen being put through their paces by the former Donegal boss.

It is understood that yesterday’s training session was McGuinness’s first with the team managed by Padraic Joyce, as they prepare for the inter-county season’s resumption this coming weekend.

McGuinness and Joyce were team mates together at IT Tralee, where they won a Sigerson Cup in 1999.

RTE Sport reports that while the 2012 All-Ireland winning manager is not formally part of Joyce’s backroom team, he is set to be involved for the remainder of the team’s 2020 campaign.
