complete speculation. fellas throwing out names , trying to sound like they're in the know, when the reality is they know nothing more than the rest of us.

I have never speculated about anything on here but people on here were still annoyed about factual information. But they were silent when their own countymen were throwing out unverified info.

This is a total nonsense. It's nothing compared to Ger Brennan and every man was on the pitch. What did he do. Poke a lad in the chest?

Such salty comments online and by media like new talk and balls.ie trying to build this into a story. I guess the whole country hates him and Donegal. I don't care. Siege mentality.

We just went to the kingdom and hammered them.


If GAA try and ban Jim for nothing , fight it with everything.

What a powerful display from the engine room today. Langan with a typically dazzling performance showing no signs of fitness concerns, and McGonagle showing a return to pre-injury form.

Most impressive of all was the Murphy and McFadden double-act that penetrated Kerry's lines over and over again. 10 out of 10 performances have been incredibly rare in Donegal football - I'd say Lacey v Derry in 2011, Neil Gallagher v Cork in 2012, and McGlynn v Tyrone in 2015 are the only three that spring to mind in the last 30 years. I thought Murphy and McFadden both delivered 10/10s today.

Brilliant performance. Jim says physicality lost us the all Ireland last year. It wasn't really it was the way that paudieClifford was allowed the freedom of croke park . We learned fron that yesterday and I must say finbar done a brilliant job . The possibility is that well meet again which will be box office. Hopefully jim won't get suspended he done very little but the ger brennan situation won't help. We need him on the line

The relevant rule states "physical interference by a team official with an opposition player or official". Not strike or push, the specific wording is physical interference so the threshold is very low.
Unlike Brennan he was not red carded so no automatic ban. It all depends if the cccc decide to investigate the incidents. They probably won't but if they do it's hard to see McGuinness escaping a ban and the entry level is 12 weeks.

There's a few differences between Ger Brennan's incident and Jim's. Brennan was red carded during the game and Jim wasn't. As far as I'm aware, the CCC can only intervene on incidents that occurred completely outside the view of the officials. If an official saw it and no further action was taken at the time, then the CCC cannot later intervene and upgrade it. When Jim confronted Diamuid O Connor, there was literally a sideline official looking at it from a few feet away. It's on the video footage, theres no argument to say that an official didn't see it when its literally right in front of him.

Would the officials have had access to video footage at half time to get clarity on the Ryan McHugh incident? If they did, then they would have had footage of Jim as well and decided no further action was needed.

Played brilliantly yesterday. Very controlled from everyone on the pitch yesterday. The most pleasing part is we stood up to them yesterday no backward steps.

You've a very impressive setup, I'm an old school Dubs fan, in my opinion, Kerry can't be beaten enough. Good to see you boys carry the fight.
It'll be disappointing to see if McGuinness gets a ban, as it could impact you. We've been impacted ourselves with such, the Kerry faithful will be happy to see it too.

Great win thats puts us in nice position.
Unbelievable efficiency up front, Gallen is a class act when on form. Thought Langan, similar to the league final, really stepped up when the game was a battle in the first half. Kicked a 2 pointer and caught a ball from a kickout within a couple of mins of each other to wrestle back some momentum mid way though the firat half.

The way the game went after the sending off shouldnt distract from some of the worrying things though. Similar to the All Ireland we were really struggling on kickouts and the breaking ball. We've plenty of big men and its not a physiciality thing Kerry just seem to have the nack for picking up the lose ball, that was without Gavin White and Joe O Connor. On the plus side we didn't panic like the All Ireland final, handled the Kerry attack much better and showed the ability to make the most of the possession we did get.

We're in a good place, the media will continue to downplay any of our victories over Kerry until we beat them in a knockout game but the most important thing to come out of the last two wins over Kerry is it will have given the team real belief if we do meet in a semi or final.

If the referee mentions the McGuinness incident in his report then that will be the end of it. If not the CCCC may or may not intervene and ask the ref if he saw or was made aware of the incident. If he says he had no knowledge of it Jim will probably be suspended and the entry level suspension is 12 weeks.
