Wexford Club Hurling 2025

Replying To ExiledInWex:  "The level of support for Wexford clubs in Leinster competitions is not replicated in many other counties. People in Dublin, Kilkenny, Tipp and for sure Galway don't support their clubs like Wexford do.
Best of luck to St. Martins later and Davidtown tomorrow."
Galway clubs in the allireland series might not have the support of their closest rival clubs, but that would still leave them 'supported' by 95%+ of the Galway GAA community.

Well done St Martins. That was a great win and it was deserved definitely the better team. Great to see.

Terrific performance from the Martins' in what was an absolutely fantastic game of hurling, no quarter asked or given by either side

Hard to find fault in anything the Martins' did on the day; technically very good, physically very good, could maybe question them tactically with the trouble high balls in caused and Richie Reid being allowed to roam but I suppose if you play a sweeper, the other team have to have a spare man too

Most importantly of all though, they were very good mentally (As they have been all year), they're a very talented team but they're getting every last drop out of the lemon too

Hopefully, Davidstown do the Wexford double tomorrow, it could well be the biggest day in the careers of most of their players

We've had enough people running down Wexford hurling in recent years but you have to remember that Rathnure are hardly miles off the Martins' and it's not as if the Martins' have backboned the county side the way Oulart used to. Either we should be playing more Martins' players at county level or else we're chronically under-performing given we've often put out starting teams in the last few years that were made up of 10+ different clubs. A bit of belief goes a long way and it's great that the Martins' are showing what can be done

Didn't believe it would happen, but it did.
Unbelievable character by St Martins.
Fantastic win and fully deserved.
Jacko was absolutely brilliant but it was very much a team effort. Heroes all over the field.
Apart from the win it was a great game of hurling.
Let's hope they can reproduce the same form against Ballygunner in the semi final.
I honestly haven't seen any Wexford team play with that kind of determination in a very long time.
It was a joy to watch.
Surely some of the Martins players will now join the Wexford panel.

Congrats to the Martins, one of the best performances from a Wexford team in many a year. Jacko was immense, typified a never say die attitude that ran through whole team.Hopefully the whole county gets a lift from this.

Willie Cleary has had some impact in two years.

Well done St. Martins, a crowd of us met up for the match and it was an early start but it was a great game. Delighted for Jack and Rory in particular, they have given their lives to Wexford and St. Martins and Jack gets a lot of undeserved criticism.
And what a score to win it. Stuff of legend forever.
Ballygunner will be a tough proposition in two weeks time but why not? They can go all the way.

What a performance. Some hunger and work rate. I was shouting at the tv like it was my own Club playing. You cannot beat attitude. Great game
