I was at the matches you think your talking about and I didn't see any kicking or dirty stuff as you say, no more than any team including own. Who told you they don't like Croke Park.

Exactly Mick, it's a lot better now with the motorway from limerick but still a long hard journey, hopefully in years to come they'll bypass Adare Newcastle West and Abbeyfeale it'll make it a little easier.

Go easy on catch. He or she will catch up with us sometime. We are all God's children regardless of our intellect.

I'm my experience Cork 'supporters' are the worst culprits for not turning up. sam2008 (Tyrone) - Posts: 796 - 24/07/2021 22:22:06 2363676 Link 1 |

Same in Dublin with Hurling and Football supporters, very few Dublin football fans would watch the hurling and in fairness its usually reciprecated by hurling fans.

Catch is obsessed with Kerry. Most Dubs I know are the salt of the earth but he is sad. Obviously took some games to heart. Most of catches posts are either pro Dub but mainly anti Kerry. If Cath was male I'd love to newt him in the ring.

Answer is fairly simple. Huge journey and the fact that they they have had so much success that big games in Croke Park is no novelty. bdbuddah (Meath) - Posts: 1298 - 24/07/2021 23:38:34 2363704 Link 1 |
That's it I wouldn't be a big fan of the small ball but if it was on before a football match I'd watch it, to be honest I can't ever see the ball during a hurling match and really I just watch where the players are bunching and hope that's where the ball is, but it's a good game to watch on telly.

This is essentially it in a nutshell bdbuddah I don't live in Kerry any more, I am much closer to Croke Park and can make games easily, but if I lived in South or West Kerry it would be a completely different story. It really is a grind to get up to a game and back down home the same day. Success definitely does breed some complacency as well, but I think the distance and travel times is the main factor. They didn't go to Croker this year so far, becoz none of their games were played there. It would be kind of silly of the Kerry crowd to go, so. foreveryoung (USA) - Posts: 1887 - 26/07/2021 04:51:19 2364150 Link 1 |
The same Mayo that haven't won an All Ireland in yonks....the fans go because they want to be there when it happens. Seriously have you ever drove down the Kerry, or South Kerry. Its a serious trek if you're only leaving Croker at 6:00/6:30. Why would they want the Munster Final played in Dublin ? GAAdundalk (Louth) - Posts: 641 - 26/07/2021 09:25:36 2364171 Link 1 |
It's true that Kerry used to 'wait for the final' and the attendances at their All-Ireland semi-finals were realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8571 - 26/07/2021 09:48:28 2364179 Link 2 |
