Replying To Cockney_Cat:  "So if 12 footballers or hurlers go get tested and are negative can they go open club ground gates and train ?

Who's going to pay for the tests? Do you realise how much Covid test costs? For example, it's costing Football League soccer clubs in England around £100 pound a test."
That was not the question. The question is can they ? Every thing anymore revolves around money. Who cares about England and multi millionaire players. Are the financially strapped league of Ireland teams paying that kind of money to test the semi pros. Half the time they won't even pay their wages.
Maybe be counties would be better off using the money paid to managers and have their players testing so they can enjoy playing. Just a thought. All I would like to see fairness to all the sports in Ireland and there is an obligation to do that. Shut them all down or none.

Replying To Tirchonaill1:  "We are still pandering and pussy footing around 1 million unionists on an island of approx 7 million people, where's the democracy in that? why is the gov not planning for a border poll? FF leadership sound more like unionists to me nowadays.
This pandemic shows us partition has to end, if this had been foot and mouth disease the whole island would have dealt with it together."
What can our government do about a border poll? It's the UK government that decide that. And in a potential unified country we will have one million unionists as fellow citizens of the country, that's a big voting bloc and they will be in coalition governments for definite

John Horan hinted at playing county before club and giving teams a minimum of 4 weeks training prior to games. Correct decision in my opinion.
Hopefully they will allow county teams back training at start of April and games to start in May.
