Paddy Andrews gone. Very unrated player. He destroyed us in 2015...the reply I think? All the best to him. 7 All Ireland medals !!!

Best of luck to paddy in his retirement, he came across as a nice lad,

I'm surprised he retired considering hed have been gaurenteed to get his 8 allireland medal in july but maybe the decision was made for him.

Another good player gone. A good servant to Dublin. Not sure he has 7 medals. Maybe he l get one for 2020 altho he was nt on panel for championship but I don't think he was part of Dublin panel in 2011.He played as a defender in 09 but think Gilroy dropped him before Gavin brought him back. Maybe some Dub poster can clarify. Nonetheless a good one. Wishing him all the best in his retirement.

Yeah he couldn't miss that day in the 2015 replay. Some really great scores.

He was the only Dublin forward to show up during the drawn final in 2016 as well.

Great servant for Dublin, was at his peak from 2015-2018 and sometimes the scorer of ridiculous and important points points when needed, he was key to Dublin at times stretching defenses and mastered the tactical art for the overall game plan of the team, had a deceptive quick turn of pace and could beat a man. Always had time for Paddy and left it all out there, i know he was a big personality in the squad. If you told me in 2009 he would get the medal haul he did (i think 6 All Irelands) i wouldn't have believed you after his stint at corner back. Showed great character to come back from his injury in the league Vs Tyrone last year and i think the one he picked in the league this year set his progress back to much under a new manager and Paddy Small slipped in there. But he owes the Dubs nothing.

Super career and look forward to seeing him knocking about for Dubs games when we all get back there, enjoy the fruits Paddy they were well earned.

Think hes on 6 myself, he wasnt on the panel in 11, he was last year but not the match day squad i think for the final, not 100% sure as i was 6 pints deep after the U20 game.

Great servant indeed. Always liked him. Seem to get his work done with minimum fuss. Underrated but possibly due to the quality around him. Best of luck to him on his retirement.

Guaranteed I think not. I hope the chasing pack don't share your view. Dublin are indeed hot favourites this year again but they can be beaten.

I have a memory of him playing a bit of League of Ireland soccer. It might have been during the time he was dropped by Gilroy. I think Roddy Collins brought him to Monaghan United. I remember him saying that what stood out was how strong and quick he was compared to the rest of the lads.
Not sure if he actually got much or any game time, or if it was just something to keep him busy/fit at the time.
As for his better known GAA career, he was a class forward and had a couple of very big performances in Croke Park.

Don't think he played just a few training sessions with Monaghan https://www.joe.ie/uncategorized/andrews-has-no-intention-of-soccer-switch-26879

I disagree with you yew tree, because I know dublin will win the allireland at a canter and you can take that to the bank.

On a sadder note. I see Éamonn Ryan former Cork football manager has died. He also managed Cork ladies to fantastic success. May he r. I. p.

Suppose you backed Cavan for that one too.
Of course you did, and you probably had the score right too.
