Neglected Northside

Wrong city though! This is more of a parochial Cork thread. The 2 Northside clubs Glen and Na Piarsaigh being unrepresented! Daire Connery of Na Piarsaigh did well yesterday against Limerick. The traditional rivalry between Northside Glen and Southside Rockies and Barr's was huge in 1970's. Maybe it boosted the county, but in some games versus the glen I went out there with little intention of playing hurling!

Pat Doherty played for Limerick in 1970's and his younger brother Martin of Glen Rovers won 3 all Ireland's with Cork. .,Their father was a Limerick man!
