Dublin chairman Mick Seavers has paid tribute to the great Des ‘Snitchy’ Ferguson who has passed away.
In a statement issued by Dublin GAA , Seavers outlined the legacy that the two-time All-Ireland SFC medal winner leaves behind.
“Des will be remembered as a GAA great, not just here in Dublin but across the country.
“He played a key role in the success of our Senior Football and Hurling teams in the 1950s and ‘60s and, of course, with his club St Vincents in that period, too.
“He will be greatly missed by all in Dublin GAA.
“Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.”
