Replying To legendzxix:  "Supercharged with Anna Geary!

I was supercharged for the wrong reasons that they weren't staying on for the penalties, as I was driving along. Absolutely ridiculous!"
Ha!

I remember one time listening on radio to Dublin minor hurlers on verge of winning Leinster for first time in 25 years or thereabouts and Jimmy Magee announcing that there was "great excitement at Valderama..." And that was that, He forgot all about Croke Park until the senior final started. Didn't get result until two hours later!

Replying To Curlew66:  "What a marathon with extra time and penalties. Pity throw in wasn't at 3.30pm to allow completion before 6pm. Was driving and missed coverage of penalty shoot out, fortunately RnaG returned for an update and a report after 'an nuacht' ."
Tg4 (2) covered full match including penalties live

And Seán Óg reading the club results from every county after late news on Radio 1. Must have taken 20 minutes! Lads on Holloway Road waiting to hear county league results.

The Leinster challenge to Boden hasn't materialised yet. Athy with comfortable wins as well. Mullinalaghta St Columba's in 2018 the last to deliver an impressive win.

Crazy expecting Dingle to travel all the way to Thurles. The Leinster final is about the challenge Athy bring. Dingle favourites in Munster but Barrs are a dangerous opponent.

Many thanks to Daingean UÍ Chúis and St Finbarrs for providing such great entertainment on a cold and wet December sunday. Mabey the top brass in the GAA will realise now that "pride in the parish" is the lifeline of our gaelic games and not county teams with budgets in excess of 2million euro.

Was club football ever promoted more than it is now?

Playing the showcase games in the muck and the rain in the dead of winter, doesn't sound like promoting the games to me.

And when were they played in the old season format? What's your point?

Great club games on TV over the last few weeks, some issues with pitches in Ulster, elsewhere not a bother, really good Connacht final in football last week and a classic in Munster today, Leinster final not as competitive but really good display by Ballyboden, next week Scotstown and Kilcoo, I can't wait.
