Lomans to add some coaching names to there management.

The news of David Martin to Milltown i hear is Fake News. St.Josephs parted ways with another manager getting them to a final 2 years in a row ?"
Hearing down here that David Martin to Ballymahon. Milltown might not be an attractive job if Daragh Hynes and Jack Murtagh going travelling.

Caulry have great ambitions with there appointments. They have invested a lot into coaching and facilities. Shane Curran and Owen Mooney ( coached St Brigids to Connacht title at weekend). Pat Flanagan and Joe Quinn from Clara both have had plenty of success. Nigel Dineen has done good work with Roscommon underage teams. But would they be better served by going with an in house manager next. Bring in an outside coach to assist . Lomans, the Downs,. Kinnegad and Shamrocks all served well by in house managers this year.

Its going to be far from easy getting back up to Div 2. Any news on the ins and outs for the new season? Obviously the Bear and Jamie are gone. Will Ronan O Toole be back from his travels?.

Completely agree with you . You cant beat a local man to go in with real passion for success for their club.

Just look at Danny sammon at tubberclaire. Gary Dolan at Garrycastle . Paddy dowdall at Lomans.

Even look at the lower teams,

Foley at castledaly , Michael Ennis at ballinagore.

Also if you do go local as manager, outside trainer is only real expense as local managers aren't as pricey

I also forgot my own club man , Eoin Jordan , what he brought to our club over last number if year was excellent.

I'll be very surprised if Westmeath don't finish in the top two with that set of fixtures.

How would O'Toole be back when he has moved to Oz and is working there. Same as Sam Duncan…

A very tough opening three games. The team are training very hard will be well prepared for the league. There will be a few new faces as is normal for any new season. Hopefully they can learn to close out tight games next season as otherwise they have learnt nothing from last season!

What would make you confident of winning in Down,Clare or Laois? Or indeed beating Fermanagh or Sligo at home.Id say they will be tight games and we haven't won one of those in years. I hope you are right but think it's going to be an upward struggle.

Fully agree Jobber, we have very tough fixtures in the early rounds and arguably our easiest games are the last two matches. Not sure how anyone would think we are certs to get promotion? We lost to Wicklow twice in successive championships

Perhaps we're not all following ronan o tooles working arrangements as closely as you are and are curious about his return. People can come back from these places fyi

Who are some of the new names on the panel? Division 3 definitely going to be tough to get out of next year. Hoping that operating at a higher level in 2025 will stand to the lads

It's all on the start. If we were to lose the first game, the next three are very tough and all of a sudden you might need to win the last 3 to stay up. However even two wins out of first 4 would put us a decent qualifying position. Very open division, we've failed to qualify with much better teams than this one
