Speculation is mounting that Celbridge’s players could withdraw their services from Jack O’Connor’s county squad following their Kildare SFC semi-final defeat to Moorefield last Saturday.
Kfm and the Irish Independent are reporting that club is “disillusioned” with the officiating during their 0-12 to 0-14 penultimate stage loss at the hands of “The Moores”.
Their county representation includes Mick O’Grady, Kevin Flynn, Paddy Brophy and Fergal Conway.
The Irish Independent report states that O’Grady is expected to return to county training this week but the others have yet to commit.
It is a headache that manager O’Connor could do without as he is already planning minus the services of recently retired duo Peter Kelly and David Slattery.
TweetKildare GAA & the Kildare Senior Football Management would like to thank to David Slattery for his commitment & dedication to Kildare GAA. We wish him all the best for the future 🏳 pic.twitter.com/hfFBOzQWXl
