Lar Wall is back in senior club football management with Dublin side St Jude’s.
Wall, who was recently in the running for the Meath and Westmeath manager’s jobs before they went to Robbie Brennan and Dermot McCabe respectively, was involved as a coach with Roscommon last season, having managed The Downs for two years before that. In the first of those – 2022 – he led the black and ambers to a Westmeath SFC title and a Leinster club final appearance.
The former Laois footballer was linked with a return to The Downs following Johnny Murray’s recent departure, but is Templeogue-bound instead. The club of eight-time All-Ireland SFC winner Kevin McManamon, St Jude’s failed to qualify from the group stages of this year’s Dublin SFC after contesting finals against Kilmacud Crokes in 2018 and ’21.
