Dublin 10 In A Row Odds! - 9 Like(s)

Replying To royaldunne:  "No it's a cert. the only question is, is a bought all ire as good as a won one??? Not saying that dubs don't have extremely talented players x they do. But the money helps. Come on are devenish gonna get a bunch of cows to moo? Are bradys gonna slice up a lilly ham? Is jack slator going to get a talking Renault? No but aig can get the all blacks to wish dubs well. There is 31 county competing at a different financial level, and financial doping is better than epo."
Never heard as much rubbish, Not a word about money when Kilkenny were going for 5 in a row and rightly so. Avonmore/Glanbia are one of the biggest corporations worldwide with Vast resources as AIG. Yet people to big enough to see that it was Cody and an extremely hard working top class group of players alone that drove their dominance. People need to stop making begrudging excuses for their own counties short comings. Kildare had more success under sponsorship of Tegral than they'll ever have under Brady Ham down to the plain simple fact we had better players. Plain and simple. I'm pretty sure that come 5.30 on the 1rst of September when the dubs have completed 5 in a row they went give a fiddlers about how people think they "bought" it. The history books will tell the only thing that matters and to hell with the begrudgers.

Absolutely delighted, the greatest player of his generation back in the fold. Hopefully now this will help the Dubs drive on and complete the 5 in a row, this bunch of players deserve to go down as the greatest.

Boycott Leinster Championship 2020 - 6 Like(s)
A very silly idea. Teams throwing their toys out of the pram just. Kilkenny dominated leinster hurling for the guts of 15 years and handed out some unmerciful hidings along the way, there was no talk of boycotting that?? Teams in leinster need to take a long hard look at themselves and their own shortcomings rather than constantly bemoaning Dublins dominance. Dublin are the benchmark in leinster, its up to other teams to come up to their level, not boycotting the leinster champioship because they aren't good enough. Dublins leinster dominance just shows up how poor the rest of the counties are. But sure theres a tier 2 competition in the works sure maybe they should consider entering that if they do boycott.

Why Mayo Cant Win An All-Ireland - 6 Like(s)

Replying To Cockney_Cat:  ""Obviously Mayo have GREAT footballers or they couldn't get to the All Ireland on such a consistent basis but for one reason or another they come up short." Just like the Galway hurlers?"
What has this thread got to do with Galway Hurlers? Stop trying to deflect .

I agree with you he should have walked, but to be lying there slapping the ground isn't on either. Its the type of carry on neymar goes on with trying to get opponents carded.

Replying To yew_tree:  "[quote=supersub15:  "[quote=yew_tree:  "[quote=Galway9801:  "[quote=supersub15:  "I can read your script and between the lines, so - Why Mayo Cant Win An All-Ireland ?, is a provocative thread & title, why not ask for example, why can't Kildare, Monaghan, Cavan, Laois, Roscommon, etc, etc, etc, reach an all Ireland final at least once every 10 years let alone win one, or why can't Fermanagh or Wicklow win at least one provincial senior title, just one, or why can't Carlow get out of div.4, why can't Kilkenny field a Senior football team at least for the National football league, why can't Westmeath stake a claim on being the second best team in Leinster and then challenge the best for a Leinster title every year (ish)? Why is it that div.4 counties and indeed more often than not div.3 counties can say before a ball is kicked that televised games will not be applicable to them,? Why is it that Mayo have to carry the can for all other counties to learn from. Why is it that Mayo as a county breed lads to become household names for some of us to ridicule and criticize as if they are professional footballers, with no families and are stand alone creatures on mega, mega, salaries. Why can't Leitrim win a Connaught senior football title every 2nd or 3rd year and then go on and contest an All Ireland Senior Football Title.? Why not,? all of this would take some pressure off Mayo. Why do I even bother with all this ***p.??"
Because every sport on earth has its perpetual also rans, and its basic human nature that if you're not as good as your competitors you won't get the same level of attention from fans or the media, but I doubt there is a team, or individual, anywhere in world sport with a record of getting to so many finals without winning one. It's be far sillier if people didn't talk about it really."]Hard to disagree with that. Unfortunately we (Mayo people) just have to take it on the chin (the abuse, mocking, bottlers, ridicule etc). Until we win the All Ireland this is what we are known as. That said we have had some ride over the last 10 years…London, New York, Croke Park a second home. I travelled home with good friends last Saturday very downhearted and annoyed (still am) but look as my friend said "at least we are in it together" (few beers on board) but it's true. Family and friends come first and are much more important."]That said we have had some ride over the last 10 years…London, New York, Croke Park a second home. Discussion closed."]So fans discussing and drinking after a game and trying to look on the bright side is the reason we lose finals? Right thanks. An expert in Carlow who know's so much about football."]To be fair I can never understand how people think that a person's geographical location/county have a bearing on whether than can or cannot be an expert on football or Hurling. I've listened to that ignorant attitude all my life. Its very small minded.

Andy McEntee claims the Meath full back was spat at in the face prior to his red card. If this is the case the culprit needs to be outed and given the mother and father of all suspensions. Its the most cowardly thuggish act you could do on a sports pitch. Given how much work has gone into getting games back up and running this year with all the covid precautions and protocols. I am absolutely disgusted by this.

Replying To Fitzy01:  "You, my friend, are a typing contradiction. We are a lot of things in Limerick but obnoxious and arrogant are most definitely not one of them, there are exceptions of course, but the masses are the most down-to-earth, unpretentious group of people you are ever likely to meet and your own post is both extremely arrogant and obnoxious in itself."
Had the pleasure of living down in limerick and found limerick people in general to be neither obnoxious or arrogant. That original post just stinks of plain old fashioned begrudgery.
