Monaghan and Donegal have ratified their ladies football managers for the coming season.

Cavan native Enda Flanagan is the new Monaghan manager, taking over from Darren Swift who guided the team to an All-Ireland intermediate championship semi-final appearance against Laois this year. The Castlerahan clubman’s appointment comes after he led Emmet Ogs to a first Monaghan senior championship success in September.

Meanwhile, James Daly is continuing as Donegal boss for a second year. Donegal lost this year’s Ulster senior final to Daly’s home county of Armagh before struggling in the All-Ireland series and only retaining their top-flight status by virtue of a relegation playoff win over Leitrim.

Paul Gillespie and Dessie McNamara will take charge of the Donegal U20s, while Declan McDermott remains at the minor helm.
