Three-time Tyrone All-Ireland SFC winner Collie Holmes has been named as the new Burren senior football manager.
Holmes, who started the 2008 All-Ireland SFC final against Kerry, was part of the outgoing management which was fronted by joint-bosses Eoin McCartan and Stevie O’Hare. Lorcan Martin (coach) and Frank Dawson (development coach) join the Eglish native in the new set-up.
Holmes previously managed the Tyrone minors and was also involved as a senior selector during Brian Dooher and Feargal Logan’s tenure. He also helped Dungannon Clarkes to O’Neill Cup success in 2020.
Furthermore, the Down giants have appointed Collie Campbell, Sean O’Hare, Aiden Woods, Paul Fegan and Carol Mackle as their new senior ladies management team.
“We wish both sets of new management the very best of luck for the season ahead,” a social media post read.
“They each bring a wealth of experience, knowledge and combined with their enthusiasm for connecting with our squads, there is great excitement amongst the players and the committee.
“We hope that all our members and the wider community will join us in congratulating and welcoming the new management.”
