Football took centre stage today, with provincial silverware up for grabs in Connacht and Munster.

In the 2021 Connacht SFC final, holders Mayo locked horns with neighbours Galway at Croke Park. As well as securing the Nestor Cup, the winners also progressed to the All-Ireland semi-finals.

The Munster SFC final was an equally high-stakes derby clash, Kerry hosting arch rivals Cork in Killarney. The Kingdom were gunning for revenge after the Rebels dumped them out of last year's championship.
