Cavan could compete in Leinster U20 hurling tournament

A new Leinster U20 hurling tournament involving Wicklow, Louth and Cavan has been mooted.
None of the three named counties will compete in the upcoming Leinster U20 Hurling Championship or Leinster U20 Development Hurling League, but they could yet play in a separate tournament. It would be another significant development for Cavan who didn’t field a senior hurling team between 2011 and 2017, but reached the Lory Meagher Cup final last year.
Six counties – Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Carlow, Kildare and Laois – will take part in the Leinster U20 Development Hurling League which runs from February 19 to St Patrick’s Day.
