GAA stars brewing up a storm

Tipperary All-Star hurler Cathal Barrett is one of a number of GAA stars who have recently ventured into the coffee business.

Jason Flynn (11Eleven, Galway)

Located in Portumna Forest Park among other places, the Galway hurling star's barista skills are said to be just as good.

Eoin and Ken McGrath (Mean Bean Coffee Co., Waterford City)

“Aside from hurling, coffee has always been my passion,” former Deise dynamo Eoin McGrath, although his business, providing quality hand roasted coffee, coffee machines and barista training, has been on the go for a while now.

Mickey Burke (The Front Room, Longwood, Co. Meath)

The former Meath dual star runs Stoney's bar in his home village but with its doors closed for the last year he opened a coffee hatch beside it.

Eamonn Fennell and Nathan Mullins (Bru Box, Trinity Sports and Leisure Club, Donaghmede, Dublin)

A popular destination for northsiders, owned by St Vincent's All-Ireland winning duo, Bru Box serves coffee locally roasted by Silverskin.
