Crossmaglen Rangers had minimal fuss this evening as they cruised by Silverbridge to move their fourth Armagh senior football championship final in as many years.

The Orchard County’s 45-time champions produced the second-half good in a major way at the Athletic Grounds to run out 1-14 to 0-6 winners.

The sides couldn’t be separated after a drab opening half-hour at the end of which saw the scoreboard reading 0-3 apiece.

Crossmaglen soon built up a three-point lead early in the restart through the points of Oisin O’Neill, Caolan Finnegan and Rian O’Neill and when Finnegan hit Silverbridge’s net in the 45th minute it was game over.

They now await either Ballymacnab or Clann Eireann in the county final, with the latter two squaring off tomorrow at the Athletic Grounds (throw-in 3pm).
