They did that for the U21 a few years ago and I thought it was grand. No shortage of confidence from Galway, on here and on their own page!
Having said that, I think they will have too much for us......sure they must be going to win the All-Ireland this year.....

Confidence is a good thing to have when there are grounds for it. We do have grounds for it. At the same time, I, and I would think, most Galway supporters have total respect for Wexford and what they are capable of achieving. I'm expecting a close game that could go either way.

Have to say all this talk about arrogance is unfounded. Galway supporters are confident in our teams abilities and I'm sure Wexford supporters would say the same about their team

Agreed. Never understood why people get so wound up about it. If your coach or players are giving out in an overly-confident way then it only serves to motivate the other team and their supporters. But comments on an anonymous message board?! Can't exactly see the back pages doing an expose on the unbelievable arrogance and disrespectfulness of HS posters. Even if you look ahead beyond the next game, someone on here will bang on about it being disrespectful. No, it's an opinion, like any other.

I don't know where this over confidence mentality is coming from because anyone that I have been talking to is extremely wary and very respectful of Wexford.

Davy up to his usual "us against the world" talk in the media with him saying "Galway don't rate Wexford hurling" what an absolute load of rubbish!! That sort of rubbish infuriates me.

Wexford have been a revelation this year under Davy and I for one am delighted for them and their supporters and im really looking forward to this Leinster final more than any other I have been to, this is a 50/50 game imo and may the best team win.

I didn't miss your point pal, I was talking generally about some attitudes on the subject with certain posters on the board. That's all.

Personally I am just looking forward to a good open game of hurling, the excitement in the county is palpable and people are very excited to be back in a Leinster final which we have at least a chance of winning, unlike our last ones against Kilkenny.
A whole bunch of children have never been to a Leinster final, it is great that everybody seems to be going!
I am hoping we can win this, am I confident, no, do I think we can win it, yes. Because I know in a final, anything can happen.
I have great respect for Galway and they are a county I want to see win when we don't. Why they haven't won an AI for nearly 30 years remains the GAA's great enigma.
However, while I respect them, I am hoping that when I get a Supermacs on O'Connell Street that that is where my support of Galway will end until 6 o'clock!
May the best team win.
