Hahahahaha
If RTE so biased in favour of rugby then why have they lost virtually all of their rugby coverage
When have they ever really shown lions tour games

The tours have been on sky for years and havent been on rte ever afaik

the gaa is a big enough organisation who should be able at this stage to show their games on a gaelic games/ culture channel of its own.

Gaa get 31 live games a year on RTE, soccer gets the odd qualifying math for ireland and 10 or so airtricity league matches a year unless the wc, euros or confederations cup comes around and rugby gets just the 6 nations. Someone tell me how this could possibly be biased towards rugby

Why would they want to do that when the likes of RTE, Sky etc will pay them for coverage?

1989 tour was on rte, with 6am starts as it was in the day pior to evening kick offs
i think rte had delayed coverage of 1993 tour -itv showed games live at around 3am ish
- all since 1997 have been on sky

The show more rugby then either football or hurling. It is bad enough sending a commentary team plus rights to cover the lions playing club sides in nz then showing what is a overhyped preseason tour

Well the do show more rugby games then either football or hurling. The give rugby more coverage on there news, website and radio. Have a stand alone highlights programme for both there rugby and soccer programmes unlike the gaa. The show something like 24 irish club games plus the very expensive champions league games and international games plus the tornaments 3 out of 4 years.

24 games are club soccer games not rugby matches. There are talking about rugby on the radio all year round unlike the gaa
