Night at the dogs – Blessington GAA night at the dogs at Newbridge on Fri 30 Nov 8pm. Sponsored by Dunnes Stores Blessington. €10 ticket will entitle you to entry on the night and for some great prizes also. Total prize fund €3600. First race at 8pm. Buster Draw One – 1st Prize €750, 2nd prize €400, 3rd Prize €200. Buster Draw two - 1st Prize €750, 2nd prize €400, 3rd Prize €200. 5 prizes of €100. You can nominate a dog for €50 which entitles you to entry to the dogs on the night and a prize of €100 if dog wins the race. Club AGM – Blessington GAA AGM on Mon 26 Nov in the Baile Coimin Centre at 7.30pm. Notice of AGM has been sent out by email. Anyone who is a member and hasn’t received an email please text Noreen on 0872858375 with their email address. Last of the paperwork will be sent out 10 days before the AGM. If you are a member please come along. It’s your club.

Scór na nÓg - The Scór na nÓg County Final will be held in St Kevin’s Hall in Blessington on Sun 18 Nov commencing at 3pm. As this is the 50th Year of Scór, we are aiming to increase the number of entries into each of the competitions. If there any singers, dancers, musicians or actors, please contact Noreen on 0872858375 or Catherine on 0871224019 if you are interested in participating asap.  €5 entrance which includes entry into raffle on the day.

Girls Presentation Night - Takes place on Wed 14 Nov in the Community College at 7pm. Awards from U8 up to U16 will be presented, in celebrating another wonderful year of girls’ football in the club. We look forward to welcoming our special guests Mick Bohan and some of the Dublin Ladies with the Brendan Martin Cup once again.

Juvenile awards nights - Awards will be held as follows: U7 & U9 groups on Sat 17 Nov at 6:30pm in St Joseph's Hall. U11 to U17 groups on Sat 1 Dec at 6:30pm in St Kevin's Hall.

 

Fixtures

U20’s –Blessington were awarded a walkover on Sun 11 Nov by Clara Gaels in the U20

Championship. The lads will now play Baltinglass (who beat St Pat’s) in the Semi-Final on Sun 18 Nov. Time and venue TBC.

U15’s – U15 training finished for the year. There are still 4 Kildare League games to play out. St Laurences game on Fri was postponed due to water logged pitches. Wed 14 Nov at 7.30pm playing Rathangan in Donard. Sun 18 v playing Sallins at home 12noon.

Club physio - Physio is now finished on Weds. If you need any physio please contact Pat Molloy regarding any enquiries/emergencies on 0868230130.

Ladies 25 anniversary mugs, pens, wristbands, boot bags etc for sale. These will be collector’s items in a couple of years so make sure you get yours. Contact Jess on 0868602822.

Clothing Collection ongoing - collecting good quality second hand clothing suitable for re-use. Please fill as many black bin bags as you can – the more we collect, the more our club receives.
