On Saturday evening our Senior footballers travelled to Joule Park Aughrim to take on Baltinglass in the first round of the Senior Football Championship. Playing against the wind in the first the teams went in level St. Patrick's 1-02 Baltinglass 0-05 with the Pats goal coming from championship debutant Jack Dunne. St Pats started the second half brightly with a well taken goal from Stephen Duffy. Patrick O'Keane and Ronan Murray made their championship debuts replacing Ciaran McGettigan and Shane Doyle to assist a good team performance. A last minute save from Ian Murphy on the line at the stroke of full time saw the lads over the line for a positive start to the championship. Full Time score: St Pats 2-06 Baltinglass 0-09

Team: Ian Murphy, Padraig Higgins, Shane Murley, Wayne Doyle, Simon Bouchier, Conor Ffrench, John Crowe, Dean  Healy, Shane Doyle, Ciaran  Doyle, Paul O'Brien, Ciaran McGettigan, Jordan Petticrew, Stephen Duffy, Tommy Kelly.

Subs: Jack Dunne, Patrick O'Keane, Ronan Murray, Ruairi Marron, Chris Kavanagh, Hugh Humby, Colm Byrne, Aidan Dunne, James Kavanagh and Rossa Marron.

Hard luck to our minor hurlers who took on Avondale Parnells in the Championship on Monday night. Full time score: Avondale Parnells 1-19 Glen/Pats 2-11

Hard Luck to our Intermediate Hurlers who had a busy week against ARP in Pearse Park on Wednesday and then taking on the recently relegated from Senior Avondale in the championship on Sunday with both results not going in our favour.

Congrats to U11 footballers on an excellent result in Dunbur against Bray Emmets on Wednesday

Well done to the girls under 10s who made the journey to Baltinglass for a blitz on Saturday morning. Great performances by all

Hard luck to County Wicklow  Ladies in a tough game in Clones on Sunday. Full time: Tyrone 5-18 Wicklow 2-06 The girls fought hard but it was not to be especially for own Niamh McGettigan, Rose Fagan, Saoirse O'Reilly and Mick Kavanagh

Unlucky to all involved with the Wicklow County Minors who narrowly lost to Kildare in Aughrim on Friday evening in the Leinster MFC. Another epic tussle between the teams saw Kildare just  edge out a very gallant Wicklow team who with a bit of luck would have prevailed. Onwards and upwards for this bunch of players who have given great enjoyment to Wicklow supporters over the last number of weeks which was evident by the crowd in Aughrim on Friday evening. Doing Wicklow proud

We had a fantastic week for our Football Cul Camp week in St Patrick's GAA Club which finished on Friday afternoon. Great weather all week and the children had a fantastic time.  The Nursery group were coached by County Players Saoirse O'Reilly ( St Patrick's) and Jamie Snell (Rathnew). The Under 8 and 9 group were coached by James Murphy (Ballinacor) and our own Johnny Carton. The Under 10 - 13 girls were coached by St. Patrick' s senior footballers Sarah Evans and Ruairi Marron. The Under 10 - 13 boys were coached by Senior ladies footballer Rioghna McGettigan and Club Coach Garret O'Reilly

Well done to player of the camps Alex Dunne and Sophia Martin.
