Wexford boss MJ Reck after his side's Leinster U20HC semi-final win over Offaly

Wexford U20 boss MJ Reck says the pressure was on his players yesterday after Sunday’s Leinster SHC final triumph for the Model County.

Reck’s side scored a 2-20 to 1-18 win over Offaly in front of a 5,172 crowd at O’Connor Park, Tullamore and, speaking to RTE Sport afterwards, the Slaneysiders’ boss was delighted with the semi-final victory.

"It is an added pressure, there is no point in saying any different," he stated.

"Of course we don’t want to let Wexford down but as a group we wanted to win as bad as anyone.

"It is an added incentive I suppose but I didn’t really bring it up because I don’t want to be putting more pressure on them as the pressure was on them already.

"It’s just great to get to a Leinster final with this bunch."
