Wexford boss Davy Fitzgerald exchanges hand shakes with Galway manager Micheál Donoghue after the game at Innovate Wexford Park

Having got a championship game under their belt will only improve Wexford according to their manager Davy Fitzgerald.

Denied an opening day win by a late, late Dublin goal, Wexford have a point to show from their one outing so far.

They now turn their attentions to Galway in Pearse Stadium this Sunday and Fitzgerald revealed to the Wexford People that they will go into the game in a confident mood.

“This game will stand to us and should have a huge difference on our consistency over the 70 minutes,” said Fitzgerald.

“We’ll regroup on Wednesday evening, have a team talk, a light training session and set out our stall. At the moment, I don’t think there’s any injury concern, but we’ll know more when we regroup.”
