Former Wexford camogie star Katrina Parrock is hoping to receive an Ireland soccer call-up after scoring the winning goal in yesterday's Women's FAI Cup final.

The 28-year-old sports all-rounder netted in the 36th minute to give Wexford Youths a 1-0 victory over Peamount United at the Aviva Stadium. Parrock retired from inter-county camogie last year after winning four All-Ireland titles in the space of six years as well as three All Star awards.

"I felt I'd ticked every box in camogie so hopefully I can push on now with the football," Katrina told the Irish Daily Star.

"I played once for Ireland's U19s years ago, but getting a senior Ireland cap would be a nice achievement."

The winning goal was the midfielder's 12th of the season.
