Condolences

The club would like to extend its deepest sympathies to the family of William Kelly of Ballard, Slanemore, Mullingar who passed away last Thursday 30th of July. William was a footballer with Walshestown which was then incorporated into Shandonagh and has been a well respected and highly valued member of the community. His grandkids Orlaith and Finbarr continue the tradition being active players with their respective Shandonagh football teams. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Brigid, his children, grandchildren and extended family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

 

U12 Girls

Last Saturday our Under 12 Girls had a great win in a tough local derby against our neighbours Loughnavally. Conditions were perfect for this second fixture in the series. The girls confidence is growing in abundance each week, proving that game time is so important for this tender age group. Outstanding performances from many but in true Shan form, team work resulted in an impressive score line against the formidable Loughnavalley.

Special thanks to all our supporters, much appreciated every game.

Due to the limit on match attendance with the Covid-19 restrictions the club held it's draw for the available match tickets for next Saturday's senior championship match last weekend. All members who were drawn have been notified by now. The match will be available on Iarmhí TV which can be accessed online at https://www.247.tv/gaa/?nocache=1. Updates will also be available on Facebook and Twitter at the time.
