Rosemount club notes

August 04, 2020

Gaa: We kicked our campaign in this years Senior Football Championship vs Castledaly last Saturday in wet and wintry conditions in Moate. Both teams were eager to make a winning start. Castledaly started brightest and showed there intent from the off. We settled into the game with a free from Sean Pettit. As the half wore on we got ourselves back into the game with a fisted goal from Deccie Mullen following a long ball in. This left us a point up at half time. We started brightly at the start of the second half. Good scores from Andy McCormack , Sean Pettit and

Lorcan Daly put us in front on the home stretch. Castledaly then rallied, and struck for two vital goals which swung the momentum in there favour. However, our lads stood up when it mattered in the last five minutes, and showed great composure on the ball. Two points from Sean Pettit , one from play and one from a free saw us seal a two point win on a score of 1.11 to 2.06. Well done lads on a good win.
