Crookedwood club notes

August 04, 2020

Lotto

We have resumed our Lotto with the addition of online sales, via the link; www.klubfunder.com/Clubs/Crookedwood_GAA_Club/lotto. It is easy to play and set-up an account if you wish to do so. For smartphone users there is also an app called Klubapp where you can select Crookedwood as your club and play the lotto at the touch of a button. This gives Crookedwood people all over the world a simple option to support the club. We are still accepting physical payments if the online method is not for you, by contacting any committee member. Our next draw for a jackpot of €5,450 will be held on Wednesday 19th August at 9pm and will be streamed live. Finally, if you have any trouble playing online please don't hesitate to give Paul Murray a call.

Junior Championship

We hosted Lough Lene Gaels on Tuesday evening in round 1 of the Junior Championship. This was a good run out for the lads but a strong and experienced Gaels team took the spoils on this occasion.

Senior B Championship

Our opponents for the championship were revealed at the weekend and we now know we will take on St.Brigids  on the weekend of the 14th/15th/16th August,  and then play the final round on the weekend of the 5th/6th September against Cullion. The 1st round game between St.Brigids & Cullion ended in a draw.

Iarmhí TV

Westmeath GAA has launched a streaming service for GAA games in the county, details can be found on the Westmeath GAA website.

Mullingar Credit Union

Crookedwood GAA would like to thank Mullingar Credit Union for their recent very generous donation. As fundraising is extremely hard in the current climate, every donation is appreciated more than ever now.

Cύl Camps

St.Vincents are holding a Cύl Camp in Ringtown from the 10th August to the 14th August. Bookings can only be made online at  https://www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie/

Pitch Bookings

The pitch must be booked through Gerry McCarthy for all games and training sessions. This must be adhered to in the current climate as we have to control the numbers on the pitch at any one time. Games will take priority over training sessions.

Community help

Crookedwood GAA is available to help all in the community with anything and everything that needs to be done, e.g. to get your shopping, prescriptions, fuel supplies, etc. If you, or someone you know is in difficulty, please contact any of the following or any committee member.
