Shandonagh club notes

March 23, 2020

Message from our chairman Tom Brennan:

To all our club members and the wider community of Shandonagh.

I hope this message finds you all well. I am acutely aware of the difficulty that people find themselves in during this period of uncertainty. As a community I feel that it is incumbent on us to listen and adhere to all advice given by our government to try and overcome this virus. I have spoken to many of our members and there are a huge number of people that are willing to assist people in need. Whilst this is a fantastic showing of support we must also be cognisant of social distancing and government recommendations. With this at the forefront of our minds I would like to offer people the opportunity to ask for help on a local level. There are many elderly people in our area who might need assistance. There are farmers who are lambing and calving who might need assistance. There are frontline workers who might need assistance in child minding. We would like people who are in difficulty to ask for help on any of our platforms and with the health and safety of all in mind we will do our best to find a solution. Please ask for help when needed and please inform your neighbours that we are here also and I know the Shandonagh community will do its best to help in any way required.
