Kilbeggan Shamrocks GAA Notes

Minor ladies football

The newly-formed Tyrrellpass / Kilbeggan Gaels minor ladies football combination opened their league campaign with a defeat to Clann Gaels last Saturday.

Despite the result not going our way, there was no lack of effort on the part of the Tyrrellspass / Kilbeggan girls. We were severely understrength due to injuries and absentees, and unfortunately, picked up two more injuries during the game. We wish the injured players a speedy recovery and look forward to our next outing against neighbours St Joseph’s, which is scheduled for next Sunday.

Panel: Anna-Mai O’Brien, Emer Heeney, Tara Fox, Tara Farrell, Katie Foyle, Leah Farrell, Ellen Pierson, Aine Pettit, Gemma Seery, Katie Coffey, Laura Flanagan, Shauna Cunningham, Ellen Feery, Shauna Harte, Lauren Mohan, Lauren Gavigan, Eabha Brennan, Ava Flanagan and Lorna Jessop.

Soaring Star

We extend our congratulations to Mairead McCormack on receiving a well-deserved Soaring Star award at the Camogie All-Stars banquet in the Citywest Hotel, Dublin last Saturday night.
