July 22, 2019Clarkes Bar Junior Championship:
Well done to our junior team on securing a win in the first round of the junior championship with a comprehensive 3-12 to 1-6 victory over Multyfarnham. There were many impressive individual performances for the Blues with Frank Kavanagh, Paddy Lynam and Oisin Hogan all excelling. However man of the match must go to Rory Sheahan. Known primarily as a defender, Rory showed his attacking abilities scoring 2-1 on the night from wing back.

Senior Championship:
Our senior men line out against Tyrrellspass in round 2 of the championship this Wednesday at 8pm in TEG Cusack Park. The lads are seeking two wins from two after a seven point victory over The Downs in the previous round. We want to see a big Loman’s following, so let’s try get out and support the lads.
Under 9 Boys:
Our U9 boys won the prestigious Gowna U9 Invitational tournament!! An amazing achievement by these young players. Wins in the group stage over Cavan opposition Lacken and Bailieborough earned a place in the semi-final against Dublin kingpins St John’s, Ballinteer. Trailing 0-12 to 0-5 at the break, our boys performed heroics in the second period and won the game by the slightest of margins, 0-13 to 0-12. Monaghan side Emyvale awaited in the final but there was no stopping our boys now and they galloped to a resounding victory in the final. This is a phenomenal effort by our young boys and they representing the club with distinction. Huge congratulations to all the players and their families you came in huge numbers to support them. Also to the coaches, Enda Lambden and Willie Connell who have done a brilliant job with these players. Here is the players who represented us today: Michael Brennan, James McDonnell, Jack Daly, Sean Kerslake, James McHugh, Shane Canning, Billy Lambden, Jamie Lyons, David Connell, Luke Fitzsimons, Eoghan Craig, Jaden Penrose. Also we are delighted to announce that our own player, Luke Fitzsimons was awarded Player of the Tournament! What a great day for the boys!
Club Meeting:
On Monday the 22nd July at 8.30 pm there will be a meeting in the clubhouse for all members. All are asked to attend.
