Westmeath Minors

We send our congratulations to Darragh Seery who captains the Westmeath minor footballers in the Leinster Minor Football Championship when they take on Longford on Tuesday evening, 23rd April, in Pearse Park, Longford at 7pm. This is a great achievement for Darragh and a proud day for him and our club. We have every confidence that Darragh will lead his teammates with great drive and committment as we see him play like this all the time. Well done Darragh and best of luck to the Westmeath minors.

U14 Feile

Well done to our U14 footballers who have qualified for the semi-final of Feile following a very successful days football in Tyrrellspass on Easter Saturday. Lilliput Gaels won their three games convincingly against the home side, St. Mary's Rochfortbridge and Caulry to setup an eagerly anticipated semi-final against Millmore Gaels in Ballinagore on Wednesday 24th at 7pm. We wish the team and their mentors the very best of luck. Panel: Adam Clarke, Oisin Kiernan, Sean Jackson, Eoin Robinson, David Costello, Sean Macken, Killian Jackson, Dylan Franzoni, Philip Reynolds, Jack Gannon, Peter Murphy, Andrew Dalton, Paddy Maloney, Dylan Corrigan, Shane Corcoran, Jack Maloney, Jack Mulligan, Adam Cassidy, Morgan Redmond, Christian Dowling, Cian Corcoran, Evan Dalton.

U16 Division 1 Football League

Lilliput Gaels 0-07  Tyrrellspass 0-13

Hard luck to our U16 team who finished their league campaign with a disappointing loss away to neighbours, Tyrrellspass, on Easter Monday evening. The home side showed the greater hunger early on and dominated the opening half to lead by six points. We scored the opening two points of the second half but that was as close as we got as Tyrrellspass withheld our pressure and in fairness were full value for the win. After a great start to this competition, we seemed to lose our mojo in the last few games but this panel has great ability and resilience and we're confident that they will bounce back and give the championship a real go. Team: Peter Dalton, Cathal Kelly, Ryan Boyne, Max Ripley, Odhran Gavigan, David Maloney, Shane Doran, Jack O'Donnell, Tiernan McMahon, Cathal Elliffe, Peter Reynolds, Cody Finnane, Killian Dalton, Luke Seery, Warric Kirby, Sean Jackson, Oisin Kiernan, Shane Corcoran, Jack Gannon, Peter Murphy, Sean Kincaid, Niall Claffey.

U12 Football

Lilliput Gaels 1-06  St.Marys, Rochfortbridge 2-08

Our U12’s and St Mary’s played out an exciting game in Castletown on Monday evening last played in damp conditions. It was nip and tuck throughout the first half and we went into the break just two points down. With time almost up we looked home and dried when we held a three point lead but a quickfire 1-02 from our opponents gave them the win on the evening. Panel: Dylan Birch, Conor Maloney, Rory Quinn, Shane Maloney, Sean Bolger, Cian Corcoran, Darragh Mulligan, Dylan Corrigan, Patrick Maloney, Eoin Carey, Eoin Bolger, Oisin McCabe, Ciaran Doran, Luke Robinson, Gavin Ennis, Fraser Young, Lennon Swan, Daire Fagan, Mark Bennett
