Westmeath forward Killian Doyle has revealed that there is a positive vibe in the squad heading into Sunday’s NHL 2A clash against Antrim.
Unbeaten in their opening two wins against London and Kerry, it is no surprise that there is plenty of positivity around the squad.
And Doyle is hopeful that they can make it three wins from three when they visit Corrigan Park this weekend.
The Raharney clubman told the Westmeath Examiner that the goal in the league is promotion to 1B and nothing else will suffice.
“Everything seems to be good, it is all positive. So hopefully we’ll get a performance against Antrim next weekend,” said Doyle.
“We’d love to get up to 1B or even to 1A, so definitely the target for 2019 is to get up and out of 2A.”
This will be the second meeting of Westmeath and Antrim this year as the Leinster side came out on top in a penalty shoot out in the Kehoe Cup final.
