IFC

On Saturday last we headed to Rochfortbridge to play Bunbrosna, for the final round of the IFC 2018. We were victorious on the day however it was too little too late for us to commence to the quarter final stages of this year’s championship. The game started off steady with goals from David Lynch and Liam Cassidy leaving us comfortable at the half time whistle on a score line of 2-06 to 0-08. Bunbrosna came back into the game reminding us that it wasn’t over, however another goal from Neal Kirby left us ahead just before the 45-minute mark. The addition of Padraig Kane, Mick Heeney and Adam Gavigan secured the lead leaving the full time score 3-14 to 1-14. Team: D.Sheahan, E.Quinn, L.Varley, J.Gallagher, J.Clarke, A.Clarke, D.McDermott, J.Bermingham(0-03), S.Clavin(0-02), D.Lynch(1-00), D.Ruane(0-03), N.Kirby(1-01), C.O’Brien, L.Cassidy(1-02), A.Mangan(0-03). Subs used: P.Kane for J.Gallagher (41’), M.Heeney for A.Mangan (53’) and A.Gavigan for J.Bermingham(62’).

Supporters Club

This month’s winner of our monthly prize is Dolores Glennon, we thank Dolores and all in our Supporters Club for their continued financial support which helps to keep both our underage and senior clubs going. We thank our Assistant Secretary, Damien Grennan, for sponsoring this month’s prize. Damien is one of our hardest working committee members, he coaches the Under 8's and 6's, is part of our senior backroom team and is one of the main driving forces behind the Park Development project and also somehow found time to show off his acting skills in "The Field" which we look forward to seeing in October 27th.

Clothes Collection

Our club in conjunction with Castletown Camogie Club are still collecting clothes, boots, shoes, bags, belts, curtains and blankets and any bags can be left in the Park for storage or contact any committee member if you require bags to be collected.

Condolences

The club extends our deepest sympathies to the Heavin family, Mount Temple on the death of Michael Heavin last week. Michael is a brother of Josephine Fagan, and uncle to our player Stephen. Our thoughts are with the family at this time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
